I saw the 220 when it was up and running. That tank was amazing, I could only imagine the 450 how it looks in person. lol

Thanks for all the kind words. I think it was more fun building it rather than work so the pleasure was all mine. By the way have you smoothed over the 3,000 gallon with the misses yet??? Looking back at the pics I think we could easily do it!

You look like a pretty tall fellow and that stand comes up pretty high on you. How tall is the stand??

Here is Chuck aka the Chuckinator aka Chuck 4000. He goes up the stairs way faster than he goes down but he's fine.

The stand is 42" tall. I wanted to have it so when you walk up to you its right in your face. Chuck is adorable! Bulldogs are so entertaining.
The naso with the large streams in close to 14" I would say. Hes a big boy. Most of my fish are pretty big. All of them except the(naso) i have had over three years and all of them have more then tripled in size.
The most ridiculous growth is the vlamingi. He went from 3 inches or so to 10" now. Thats in a little over a year.

you got an emporer angel now! NIce! I am moving into my girl friends place for a couple months and I am setting up a 40 gallon breeder there. I am bored with the 46 gallon bow front. I only have one fish right now too its just a six line wrasse. Next year when I move to a place more permanent with my girl friend I am building a custom rimless 36"x24"x18" tank and going full blown SPS! Man do I miss Florida. They charge $13 for emerald crabs around here! And I saw a royal gramma for $26 the other day. I remember them for $6 sometimes in orlando.

Have you re-done the rock work yet? Are you still planning on doing it if not?

Your water level in the sump looks like it's pretty close to the top. I'm assuming you tested that it doesn't overflow in the event of a power outage.

Just an observation.

Availability has improved a great deal over the past couple of years. We now get pretty much anything that is being collected at the time - conspics, clarions, gem tangs, koi tangs - you name it. Prices are generally 30% cheaper than the US.
