Anyone using the G4 Pro on a tall tank? Interested in your settings if so.

Just got two of the XR15 Pro's - gen 4. Set up with the Rms bracket about 8-9" above tank. Tank is 40W x 18H x 16D.
No Reeflink yet - hooked up the lights via usb to Ecosmart and loaded the Coral Labs AB+ light schedule. I am unsure of what the intensity setting should be. Started with 50% intensity for now. Any suggestions would help - mainly have SPS and LPS. |

lights are 20cm from water, running AB+ program at 70% overall intensity. disappointing factor is the noise comparing with G3 |

Anyone using a single XR15W Pro on a 30" X 30" X 24" Cube? Official Ecotech brochure it says good upto 30". I won't be having any SPS on the side of the cube. Mostly Acans or softies if anything on the sides.
How is growth etc with these new Gen4s?

The thing about that single light source is that once the corals grow they'll shade each other and the corals itself will shade inner layers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can someone tell me what the inclusion of the red (and much less green) wavelengths do?
Other than for people who want a red (or green) lit tank? |

I'm currently running the LPS program at 65% and everything seems to be doing OK for the most part, with a couple of exceptions. 1) My Bubble Tip Anemone started near the bottom of the tank but has worked it's way up to the highest rock and stayed there for about a month now. 2) I had a green/white open brain coral near the bottom of the tank that slowly went from neon green to brown on me. I've moved it higher in the tank but suspect it's a goner. The only real issue is the Anemone and I wonder if increasing the lighting an/or switching programs would cause it to move again. |

What are the benefits of choosing G4 Pro rather than the "normal" G4s??
Here in Denmark the Pros cost 144$ more than the G4s. But why should I spends the extra money?? More watt - is that the main reason?? |

Anyone know if the Apex Classic (not 2016 version) has been updated to fully work with the G4 Pro?

My tank is 24" tall, I have 2 Radion G4 Pro's and I'm running the SPS AB+ program with whites increased to 30%.
Start of the day is 10.30 and night start 20.30. I started with a 4 week acclimation period. Came from 2 old Pacific Sun Black Python 160W. Should I lower the intensity or will the corals get used to the increased light after the 4 weeks?? |

Which is better:
Light close to the water with lower intensity or light far from the water with high intensity?? I know that the light covers a larger area the higher the lights are hanging |

Does anyone keep their UV channel on? I notice my corals react negatively when I have it on. Also do you keep your Red channel on?

I'll be putting a XR30 Pro on my tank (60g cube, so 24x24x24 inches) this evening or tomorrow. I'm currently running a 250w MH about ~7-8 inches from the water (all the canopy will allow). Any suggestions on intensity and acclamation periods?

I installed 5x of the new G4 XR30 pros this morning and when I had finished programming everything in ecosmart live I moved one of the lights, noticed a burninig smell and saw that the new lens had melted where I had temporarily set it down! Warning to all other people, if you are doing maintenance on these and need to set them down they can melt/warp! I know all of my other LED fixtures have gotten hot in the past, but not hot enough that the lenses started melting
