I printed plastic hubs, but a hole saw would work, I used epoxy to glue them in, I used all thread for shaft, tapped out the plastic hubs, I'm sure wood would be fine, I later went to the belt drive

A few more mods, added the pvc to discharge to help soften the blow to filter media and it also stretches the water more evenly across filter media, also changed direction of roller take up and speed,

New modifications working great, I believe the next mod is to add a few recirculation skimmer pumps to it , draw from under and pump the foam into filter chamber, should work great, might be costly but I see a superb filter in the works..
