Had fire in my stand last night, I was adding new magnetic rocks I made , I spilled some water alot and it got power adapter for a pump wet and boom, a real deal fire!! It was under a wooden shelf in the stand and I couldn't get to it very quik, I had to start ripping away to get to the fire, mu wife was there lucky enough the pin to the fire extinguisher was hard to pull so I went to wall and started pull power to everything, I had a salt bucket near so I dipped it into the tank and drowned the fire out with tank water, what a @@@@ mess..

Since photobucket sucks, heres a few pics of what the equipment looks like now, appears to be as good time as any to catch up with some pics.

Pinted with pla, 5 layer densities to reduce bubble size and increase contact time in main chamber

I removed the becket and installed a venture on rec pump the incensed volume made me turn pump down, so the bubble buster keeps the bubbles in main chamber longer , tricking it into thinking ir has a larger chamber, simply put it works.

Thats what you make out of a old trickle filter..lol. If you don't have one yet build yourself one..you could build one so efficient that you can control nutrients just with the mat..

first pic on 6/15/17 second today 9/6/17 , the a filter media is 35 foot long 11.5" wide , looks like about half way threw the roll, I made two rolls for $70.00 it should go six months a roll.. I will try and wash the first one when it's done, will experiment with different media type's as well..

Wow, that is scary! Glad you got to it in time.
That filter roller is a great idea. I take care of an aquarium made my Seavisions and they use that system as well. Extremely efficient. Not sure your going to want to clean that filter roll, though.. it gets pretty stinky after sitting there for months..
