new St. Thomas mushroom tank addition

I came across this one and was just like "shut up and take my money", it's even nicer in person since the one side is so bright it washes out the rest of the colors

So far it's ignored feeding, but I think it's still a bit stressed from shipping.

As long as you avoid the unethical scammy vendors who throw the word "bounce" in front of them as an excuse to gouge people for $3-400 then you can find them for pretty fair prices when they pop up from the few honest vendors left in this hobby.

Very cool. I love the bubbles on it. Excuse my noob question but this is a ricordia, right? Furthermore I know 'bounce shroom' is passe but this is what people are referring to with that term?

No they're one of the aforementioned "bounce" vendors...

The species is a Rhodactis sanctithomae so it's more like a hairy mushroom than ricordia. The "bounce" mushrooms are a different species of Ricordia that imo don't look as good but for some reason sell for $3-500, but vendors are using "bounce" to refer to any mushrooms with bubbles right now in order to take advantage of people.

Nice St Thomas; highly underrated species. Never seen that color. I picked up a lime green/granny apple with white tips recently. It's nice seeing these new colors pop up.

I've seen two st. thomas pop up at my LFS and they were both dull, I wish it were easy to find nice ones because they are one of my favorite 'shrooms.

Great score. I bought one from aquaSd on a live sale a few months ago on another forum. Your picture looks better. This is my favorite shroom under actinics.

Great looking St. Thomas! I have loads of shrooms and for some reason I can't keep a St Thomas alive for anything more than a few months.

Amazing color! I am slowly rebuilding my St Thomas collection, but it has been difficult due to the abundance of scamy vendors such as the one you were talking about. Is there any chance you could say who you got that from? ie who is a good vendor.
thanks

Yeah it looks awesome under actinics, one of the coolest things I've ever seen come out of the ocean

So far it's on the sand bed in low light doing pretty well, it's gotten even more pink which looks great.

I got it in a trade, they pop up at fair prices online from time to time though.

That's under 50/50 T5 with some blue LED accent strip, the background color came out a little weird from the container being so white but it's actually pretty white light. I took a pic with my regular LED's on and it looked fake so I had to break out the T5's lol.

I'll see if the T5 will work with only the white bulbs in, if it does I'll post up a super washed out pic for reference.

Cool thanks bud.

I'll probably try my hands on one of StM when I'm done moving my tank in the condo. Don't want to buy new coral or fish to have it croak after the tank breakdown and move.
