Wink Target feeding coral food that doesnt float

Can you folk offer suggestions or direct me to some relevant threads on making coral food that doesn't just float to the surface when you kill your pumps and target feed in the evening? Maybe I just need to find some heavy water or some other magic solution to soak it in?

What are you currently using? I alternate between reef roids, Rods Coral Blend and cyclopeeze and none of them float. I shut down the pumps, target feed each coral and then wait about an hour or two before turning the pumps back on.

Are you using freshwater or tank water to soak the food? Freshwater floats in saltwater and the food will go up with it. I had the same problem until I realized what I was doing lol

those are my go-to foods along with reefroids. Unfortunately they no longer sell cyclopeeze

All good ideas. I like the idea of checking the density of my DIY food and making sure it's made with saltwater and not freshwater. Thanks!

Fauna Marin Ricordia/Zoanthids food for smaller stuff and FM LPS pellets for larger stuff, super clean food and doesn't float.
