About a dozen of these guys found a new home in CT. Clownfish harem tank for his baby's room.

They look amazing!!!! I really love my Mocha pair, the female is getting nice and dark, the male not so much. I'll get some recent pictures and post them here. They have been getting into the pre breeding squabbles and sometimes I think she will kill the poor little guy.

My pair are from original breeding of B&W male and regular female. So first gen Mocha's. My female is amazing looking, the male is nice but just small and not as dark as she is. I'll get those pic's up in the next day or two.

Dave

First Ocellaris Fry

When I raised my clutch I used a piece of airline to siphon them out. They are just small enough to fit and then you have all the time in the world. I also blacked out all sides of the fry tank with construction paper so they don't bounce off of the walls and kill themselves, put a white piece of paper over the tank to diffuse the light and put an air stone under the heater to make sure they didn't hang out under the heater and to circulate the water. Hope this hasn't all been said before. Haven't read the whole thread. Congrats though!!! It's a fun road, my 3 year old daughter still asks about all the clownfish web had. (I had the clowns when she was 1)

Dcropley's 34g waterfall build

https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url...9&share_type=t

Devon made a pretty unique aquascape where the rock arch comes out of the water. Check out his build thread!

Dave, I'm getting the new pair from a breeder in California. I'm gonna hold of recommending him until I get the fish and see they're healthy.

Hard to believe that's only a 34 gal tank.

I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures of them. They sure do look nice from the pics you posted. Good luck with them!

How did your DIY filter work out for you?

Great progression! My 13 year old has taken interest in Mariculture and I feel this would be a great journey to go on with him.

The diy filter is ok, but the problem is the number of fish generate so much nitrate. What I really need is to drill the tank, get a big sump with a bunch of live rock and a monster skimmer. But I just haven't done that. I have a reef octopus hob skimmer that's doing a good job, and I do weekly 40% water changes.

New local fish store, stop by if you're in the area, super nice owner and staff.

I really hope to be able to breed my own clownfish one day.
But for the time being they're only swimming together, though the female sotimes rubs here belly over the glass in a strange shaking motion.

I think my Bali Aquarich Female is finally pregnant! She has that bulging abdomen. Will be cool to see what the offspring look like.
