Fan, Bluefish Mini, LDD 48V?

Looking for a way to get from 48v to 12v and control a fan with a bluefish mini. I've read of O2 Surplus parts, but he hasn't been active for a while, so looking for other options.

I have LDD's, and a driver from BlueAcro, along with a 48v Meanwell power supply.

Thanks for any options you know of.

-Mike

Plenty of DC-DC converters out there..
Or just get another 12V supply for the fan itself...
Or get a 48VDC fan..

Thanks, trying to avoid another outlet if possible. I bought a DC to DC converter from Fleabay a while back, it is no longer working. Was hoping for something similar to my LDD board with a step down built in.

Didn't know there was a 48v fan option, guess I better get shopping...

Controlling Fan?

I actually just bought that board myself for this exact same setup. Curious if anyone has a way to put the fans on a timer? As of now, they run constantly...

I was hoping to run a relay off the bluefish channel, but the pwm only puts out 4ma which isn't enough to any relay I've found.

Is there a way to add a timer function to this??

Bought that board, made a dumb mistake, plugged my Mini in to 48v. The smoke came out of the mini, and is fried. New one on the way...

As for controlling the fan, I didn’t see a way to do that with this setup, it’s just on at 100% as long as power is on.

wiring in a thermal resistor shouldn't be much of a problem..Will get you a variable speed fan (by voltage drop)
Details above my paygrade..

Probably easier ways..

More info:

simple snap switches (like on a furnace) will at least get you on/off

Should be some Chinese parts out there ..
would need 4 wire computer fans..
