250g Marineland
I have a local guy who has a Marineland deep dimension series tank "60x37x27" for sale with montery series stand. Says he paid 5k for everything 2yrs ago. What he is selling now is the tank and stand. The tank leaks at the bottom so it will need to be resealed. What would you guys pay for something like that? Everything looks great except for needing to be resealed which I have done before.

My 250 Marineland leaked as well. Same problem it sounds like. The aquariums have a lifetime warranty so Marineland replaced everything. My old tank I tried to give away to various LFS and none of them would touch it. Resealing a tank like that doesn’t sound easy. I wouldn’t pay a dime for a leaking tank.

I agree, if it didn't leak I would probably give the $500... but the headache of repairing said leak would keep me awake at night.

I wouldn’t buy it for $100. He’s hustling you. No one will repair that size tank. I dumped mine in the garbage.

Not the answer you might be looking for, but that series stand/canopy is REALLY nice, and costs well over $600.
In your position, I would buy it, sell the tank on Craigslist for $300, then get a custom tank made in the same dimensions. |

That's a lot of water on your floors. Regardless of the cost do not buy 200/300 DD marineland tanks.
