Clown fish aggression

I've been noticing a lot of aggression from the female towards the male but only recently. It is worse during feeding. Is this typical of a mated pair?
Should i be doing anything to control it?
The female has gotten WAY larger lately. I'm not sure if this is early breeding behavior or not. The tank has a mandarin goby as well and the female clown totally ignores him.
