Thanks and me too! They said it would be finished tomorrow. It's going to be a long day at work.

Great looking build so far! I've always liked peninsula setups.
I remember reading a little build thread on your wifes VW somewhere before (ls1tech maybe?) |

Probably Vortex. My BMW is on LS1tech though.
They did the cabinetry today. But have to trim and adjust the doors some more. Hope to have it done by Wednesday.

Thanks, everyone! It was to match our island. Gray stained maple.
They had to take a few doors to trim and refinish but here is how open it is with all doors open. Should be easy to access and maintain.

You going to paint the inside of the doors? Would imagine you wouldn't want to leave them untreated.

They are cleared. I couldn't afford to have them done in maple stained as well but may paint them white down the road. Luckily the doors are the easiest to modify and/or change down the road.
The cabinetry is also not attached to the tank in any way so the wood can move on it's own. It can even be taken apart and reassembled.

Looks great, Brandon.
Looks like you have TONS of room in there. Where you/are you able to vent the stand and canopy in any way? In my old cube where I had the sump under the tank like you do, i totally forgot about venting the stand. So when all the doors were closed it got real humid inside and the floor started to warp. Had to router vents into one side of the stand. Would hate to see that pretty cabinetry get jacked up. This is what we ended up doing and it worked great. I had a little fan inside blowing the humid air towards the vent.

Thanks, everyone!
Dennis, I am cutting 4-6 3" holes in the very top panel and will have several pusher and puller fans going. Pushers on one side and pullers on the other.

I am really liking your tank and am using it for ideas as well. How do you plan on getting enough water flow inside of the tank?

My return pump will be run via a single line to the area above the tank. Then it will split in two to each corner at the opposite end of the tank as the overflow. The returns will be angled inward and downward. On the glass end with the overflow, I will have two MP40's running opposite one another in series. Should be plenty of flow.
