Generator????

Hey, the transformer outside of our building is messed up and they are gonna need to change out the Transformer on Wednesday morning. They are telling me it will take a minimum of 2 hours and I was wondering if anyone had a generator I could borrow and I would compensate them for it for Wednesday morning.
Thanks
Dennis

Dennis - You have already wore out a transformer over there??? You can use mine if you cannot find one local to you. It is a Generac 5500xl so should be enough power I would think.

I will take either one or both because I have a lot of tanks to put on there. Thank you very much Jay and Justin. Then I can drop them off with y'all Wednesday night.
Thanks
Dennis

Justin - If you are heading that way we could meet somewhere convenient and transfer the gen out of my truck. It has wheels but is heavy. I can bring truck to work (505 S Main) and meet you in the parking lot. I do get off at 2:30 so could also meet you somewhere after that. You guys just let me know either way. Thanks,

Jay

Dennis, don't forget to round up a couple of heavy extension cords to run into the shop. If you dont have a couple of heavy cords they are going to get hot and could melt or start a fire. Just a heads up cuz I know we don't always think of everything when it comes to things like this.

No problem. I don't know what size outlets the generators have that jay and justin have, but I have some 30 amp extension cords that you could borrow. If Justin is in Hatch tomorrow he could run by and get them from me. If that would help

You may want to turn your lights, heaters and chillers off and only power your pumps and refrigerators. I don' think two generators are enough to run everything in your store. I have a small 4500kw generator you can borrow.

Dennis – I’m sure you already know this but just in case – don’t stick your hand in the water once the gen is running the tank due to grounding. You should ground the gen but also take care even when it is grounded. Don’t want your hair looking like this:

Jay
