smart buddy booster pump died, HELP!
Ok, here it is, I have a Marine Depot KleanWater 4-Stage Advanced RO/DI System - 100 GPD, and because my water pressure was low a AquaticLife Smart Buddie Booster Pump - 50 to 100 GPD RO. the smart buddie died, and I removed it. Now my out put is like 1/2 cup rodi water to 10 gallons of waste. I'm missing something and I dont know what it is. So my questions are-
1. what am I missing? 2. where do I get it? 3. how and where do I install it I'm being forced to top off with tap water, so I really need some help here thanks all |

1. Buy a new AquaticLife Smart Buddie Booster pump...
2. Its available at many online retailers..even Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Aquatic-Life-.../dp/B00OMBPNHI 3. Install it per the directions that come with it in the same spot that your last one was..

Seems like you're missing the flow restrictor

Sorry about not replying sooner, life got in the way, unfortunately picking up a new smart buddie isn't in the budget this month. I found the instructions for it and you do remove the original flow restrictor when installing it. So as a temporary solution I found a ball valve for ro/di lines and put it on the waste line to control pressure. I now get about 4 to 1 waste to ro/di water, and have ordered a new flow restrictor from BRS.
Thanks for the replies |
