Certainly should be! I thought those looked like a nice alternative for where you aren't allowed a normal interchangeable lens system. I was able to play iwth one a few months ago and while far from compact, it comes loaded with a stupid amount of zoom capability. There are a few neat reviews out there from Fro, SnapChick, etc.

That's part of what got to me. The 900, (the previous model), is half the cost, but doesn't shoot in RAW.

So about the size. Here it is with my D700 with the 24-70 2.8 lens.

Played a little with it. Most will wait till my new puter is set up. I'll need to reformat PS since I have an older version that needs to be updated. It is pretty impressive!!!
