I can’t wait for the Trident!

So looking forward to the Tridnet. Hurry up and get it to market! 😀. Very few products would have me first in line, but this is one I’d sleep outside to be first in line. Fingers crossed that it’s all I think it will be. Looking forward to the reviews. Winner winner chicken dinner.

I've never had any desire to get a Neptune system...but now that they're adding the Trident...I'm picking up a system up next week. The thought of not having to test those parameters is just fantastic.

Has anyone heard when this is coming out? The thread on Neptune’s site seems to be dead with no updates

Don't worry it will be another 2 years in the making, just like the COR - look for early 2020.

That would be really bad marketing to announce a Q2 timeline for release in 2018 and have that happen. But since Neptune hasn’t replied to any threads I bet they hit a major stumble with it.

And if anything like the COR release, I would guess the major stumble is supply.

Did they announce Q2 release ..... and specify which year? I don't recall seeing any timing commitments. Better to get it out right than to get it out fast.

Neptune responded to its status on another forum a few weeks ago. Sounded like they were going to take applications to be part of NSI team for it around the end of the first quarter which will be next month. Hopefully they can keep to the schedule. I'm going to be watching closely. Very interested in this and the alkatronic.

Yeah, I've been constantly waiting for news or something, but haven't seen anything pop up just yet, I am ready for trident though, got the new apex a few weeks ago.

You can do more tests , or less tests to an extend, rather than doing 4 tests a day , you could possibly do 1 from my understanding, thus lasting 8 months rather than 2 with every reagent.

Can you use the results to control your dosing pumps? I.e. will your controller no k on the alk pump if it is low? I suppose that could be done manually, but at $600, plus an $800 controller, I expect automation.

That's what I'm expecting as well, the only issue with that is that supplements by different companies raise levels differently, the best way to solve this would be if Neptune came out with their own Alk, Calc, and Mag supplements.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be able to do that. That's why I'm coughing up $1,500 bucks...to be able to automate those parameters.

Still hoping but getting itchy fingers! The KH guardian (coralview) is now only $599.00. Checking it out as I really don’t know if they will hit Q2. Love Trident but I hate waiting and no news is bad news!

i dont think that is the case. according to what i have read so far, once unsealed the reagent has a short shelf life, lasting only 2 months, So whether you use it or not it will expire every 2 months.

Can I test more or less frequently than that?
Yes, within limits. There are operational limits on both ends. Obviously the test takes time so only so many can be fit in a day. Also, once unsealed, the reagents will have a more shortened lifespan. That said we are fairly confident that you should be able to run less tests and get two months out of one set of reagents.

Yeah, I recently saw that as well, I wonder why they only last 2 months compared to salifer that can last a few years.
