Shipping a XXL Duncan colony

Im taking down my tank and have a 13" Aussi Duncan Colony. Before I post it, is this something thats safe to ship? If so, what would be the best way to box it up?

If you aren’t part of a larger commercial size shipping label organization you can expect very high cost to send a box the size and weight you are talking about as an overnight. In excess of $100 for shipping alone.

Cost aside. You’d be best served to get a few very large 4mil poly bags, stuff them together for a triple bag. Fill with water, seal vial bag staple or heat seal, and place in a 1.5” foam thermal insulated shipping box. If there’s cool weather about, use a 48 hr warmer taped to the inside of the lid with air holes vented directly to the heat pack.

Random question, how does your Duncan grow outward? That is spread wide? Mine just grows new heads from the same stalk. Has gone from 2 to 10 in a year and a half.

My other Duncans grew in a tight cluster. Nothing like this. I'll have to post a picture of the back of this. Its perfectly fanned out.
