the umbrella effect
i have some blue zoas that ive had for awhile now,,,but all of a sudden they turned like inside out or the umbrella effect...nothing changed as far as lighting or flow..and they always been in same spot as well....they really liked this spot too..been like this for a month now...dosent seem to be melting or dying lots of new growth too.....any ideas.....

I've read elsewhere that it is a symptom of excess lighting. However, I've had a colony of magicians do the same thing intermittently where, in the same spot they've been for almost two years, they have also "reached" for light. Zoas can be weird I guess is what I have to offer. Just keep an eye on them and if this umbrella look doesn't change and the colony appears to diminish maybe move them a bit then
