I got some rock loaded into and started filling the sump . I had 3 or 400lbs already bleached and acid washed. It sure doesn't look like much but it filled up 2, 55 gallon drums. It was a pain to carry it all down stairs but it will be cycling by the end of the week.
Photo bomb goes to my poodle, Ruger.

It's an Iwaki 70. I hope it's enough flow for my 150. What return pump do you run on your 300?

So I'm figuring I'll have between 800 and 1000 gph going through my display. How much do you have going through your DT? Do you think that's enough turnover? I have plenty of flow with my power heads in just curious if the turnover.

So I had a small leak in an old Bulkhead. That's what I get for trying to save a couple of bucks. I have picked up a new one and am going to install it shortly.

So on my lunch break yesterday I went and bought a Bulkhead at a lfs. When I got home it was the wrong size! I ended up going to another store and finding the right size. While I was there I picked up a white tail bristle tooth tang for my DT. I also scored a frag of an awesome efflo I've been trying to get for a year.

That's a nice skimmer. It's crazy how easy it is to over spend on this hobby.

It sure is .I just replummed my entire tank. New custom acrylic sump, reeflo super dart with a manifold system, new led light for the sump, and now the skimmer. It is like a snowball effect! Maybe someday I can figure out what is up with photobucket and post some pics of my own.

So I did something pretty stupid Friday night. I wanted to share it none the less.
I came home late Friday night and had to top off my frag tank because I don't have an ATO hooked up to it. So I grabbed the closest bucket and dumped it in. Five minutes later I see the three fish swimming all messed up. I smelled the remaining water in the bucket and it dawned on me. It was the water and vinegar solution I used for cleaning my power heads the day before. I was keeping it around to clean my skimmer over the weekend. So I immediately started removing rock to get my fish out including my new white tail tang. I was able to catch them all and add them to my other tank quite easily. As of this morning they are doing fine. They have returned to swimming normal and eating. So the catch is this never would have happened but I had been drinking and didn't have my head on straight. So don't mess with your tank if your drinking.

At least you saved them. Could have been much worse. Just add it to the long list of things not to do after a few drinks.
