Overdosing Iron/Iodine/Manganese killing fish?
So I have macros and have been adding Kents iron/manganese and Kents iodine supplement to the tank. Recently my fish have been dropping like flies. Theyll be eating fine and then the next day they just disappear or when they do come out, they are kind of listless and just sit at the bottom of the tank.
Has anyone seen or experienced an overdose of these trace elements before? I have followed the bottle for my tank size 75 gallons, but maybe I over did it. |

When in doubt, water change!

I use iodine very sparingly as I have heard it can be toxic. Also since I have seahorses I do frequent large water changes. I have never used manganese but I do use iron and have never had a problem.

Out of those three trace minerals, iodine is an antiseptic.
