Freshwater dip on candy cane and pipe organ?

Hey all, tomorrow I am going to be receiving a pipe organ coral and candy cane coral from live aquaria. My question is, is it safe to freshwater dip these prior to going into the tank to kill any pests? I've been researching and can't find a straight answer whether these can be dipped or not. Thanks for the help.

Candy cane is an LPS for what its worth.

I would suggest not freshwater dipping. Buy coral rx or lugols solution and follow the directions on the bottles as to how to dip your corals.

That's what I plan on doing. I was just wondering if the freshwater would work if my lfs ends up not having any.
