What is going on with this guy?

Hey - I just noticed these white-ish patches on the snout of my leather filefish. My tank is 5 years old and Ive never had a fish disease. In a way this looks like physical damage but I don't know.

The color is showing a bit of blue fluorescence from the lights. There does not seem to be any "bump" or raised flesh. I tried to get a more clear photo no luck.
