splitting control channel on a storm x controller.
as the title states I am wondering if it is possible to split the control signal off a storm x controller. my new supplemental led system will need to have somewhere around 40 different ldd drivers controlled. I only need around 6 different channels set to different types of leds. but will be controlling 10 ldds running vero 18 cobs for example which will each need a separate ldd to power them. I seem to rememeber reading somewhere a few years back that you could split the signal but just wondering if anyone has done it so I can order a bunch of storms if needed. thanks, steve

Ldd dim circuit requires little current (like micro amps). Storm X 5V out has little (but a lot more) current than LDD's require (40 milliamps (I think)..
Each channel, theoretically, can handle dozens of Ldd signal wires.. suggest limiting it to about 3 or 4 until someone actually ran more.. Point is I seriously doubt you need more than one Storm X. Quote:
hmm StormX only has 10mA.. Quote:
