Cleaner shrimp eating seaweed?
Title says it all. Anybody else’s skunk cleaner shrimp eating seaweed? I got a flame angel and it’s my only non carnivore so I started putting some Nori on a veggie clip. Flame Angel has been eating my homemade food and picking at algae on rock, and the shrimp is the only thing I’ve seen at the seaweed! Is that normal? I’ve read they’re carnivores only.

I think cleaner shrimp will eat anything that needs cleaned up. I cut my nori into 1" squares. That way there is no waste. If you have a tang in the tank, continue to offer it, tangs need seaweed and the algae they pick from rocks in their diet to stay healthy.

No tangs. I had heard a flame angel will eat nori, but nope. Won’t touch it. Stopped giving nori bc just made a mess (whatever shrimp wouldn’t eat).

Mine will eat almost anything, including seaweed.
