Dying toadstool

One of my huge turbo snail crawled over my toadstool and the stalk has been deflated ever since. Is there some way to help it along?

I think it should be fine if it indeed was the snail.

Just leave it. Mine looked like that when I transferred everything to a larger tank. It was encrusted and tore a pieces off. I now have 4 of them. It took a few weeks for it to open, yours may be shedding. Actually mine looks like that every night when the lights are out.

Its very common for leather corals to shrink up,etc... for days to weeks at a time..
They will usually come back out of it better looking than before and may shed a layer of skin,etc...

When they are dead then usually disintegrate (almost melting) rather rapidly..

I would also just leave it. Those things swell and contract all the time for like no reason.

As it's been said 10x now. It's probably fine. Mine has a wild temperament and changes shape all the time.

I started with one and within one year now...I have 9?

Unfortunately the toadstool did not survive. Melted into a snotty green blob. Still not sure what caused it. Should I run carbon for a day or two?

Running the GAC is a good thing, but before you do that just manually remove as much of that carcass as you can. In other words treat it like a dead snail. Nobody wants that. PU!
