Almost completed by stand this weekend. It's for a 110 and a 55 sump

Nice! Another very overbuilt stand (and I'm not knocking it at all.) You did screw AND glue all joints? My only suggestion would be to lose the cross braces on the bottom - they serve no purpose at all. If you remove them and then use a piece of plywood underneath you will have a nice place for your sump that, assuming you seal it well, will be able to catch any spills/leaks without the water escaping into your living area.

Are you planning on skinning it with something? Even 1/4" plywood will reinforce it so that it cannot twist and possible fail.

I know its over build but, wood is cheap! Screwed and glued. My 55 is only 12" wide so, plywood shelf on top of wood cross braces on the bottom.
The plan is to put stone veneer on the front

Should i be worried about leaks?

Leaks happen. They just do. Hoses can come off. Skimmers overflow. splashes and drips happen.

All you can do is minimize the risks. On of the easy ways is to do as I suggested and place the sump down between the bottom perimeter boards as I suggested.

And the Stone veneer will look nice! Pictures when it's done please!

I actually fitted a piece of epdm rubber in the bottom. I would hate to ruin my bamboo floor

I added a shower drain liner in mine. It has worked really well.

Damn good idea! Wish I would have thought of that during sump build!
