Clownfish role reversal?

My 75g tank has been up and running for almost 6 months now. All parameters are on point. I ordered two Picasso clowns from my LFS and picked them up while they were still bagged. I brought them home and quarantined them for 30 days with no issues. They swam together the entire time and ate without issues.

When I moved them to the tank (about 3 months ago) I had a RBTA in there for them to host. The both immediately took to the RBTA and spent almost the entire day in there. After a few weeks the larger clown started to kick the smaller one out in the day but at night they both slept in it. This continued for about two weeks.

Then all of a sudden the smaller clown kicked the larger one out and wouldn't let him in the RBTA during the day. At night they would both sleep in it again. This continued for about two weeks.

Well, sure enough the larger clown muscled its way back into the RBTA during the day. The smaller clown swims above the RBTA near the surface and when it comes close to the RBTA the larger clown chases it away. The larger clown does not nip at fins and has never. There is zero fin damage. However, they do go mouth to mouth for a few seconds which has me concerned.

I should point out that they both spend the night in the RBTA still and this behavior has been going on for almost 2 months now. They both eat well and look very healthy.

My concern is that they both turned female after establishing dominance for the few weeks they were each hosting the RBTA during the day. Please help as this is the first time I have had a pair of clowns. Is it normal for paired clowns to swim separately when the lights are on?

The only other inhabitants in the tank are a watchman goby and pistol shrimp, and a cleaner shrimp. No aggression between any of those guys btw.

Kinda typical sometimes, back and forth.
Often they are not super close until they mature.
Wouldn't sweat anything
