What's this
What is this white stuff growing under my acan? It's doing very well, currently 10 heads up from 7 when bought, just noticed all of this white underneath it.

branching sponge. Filter feeder, generally harmless, and can be easily trimmed if it grows too large.

Sponges are harmless, I would just let it be and trim if needed

I had a blue version of that in a prior tank that just ran a very pleasing network over rock, hither and yon. I'd love to have it in my current one.
