Definitely two highly recommended pieces of reefing equipment. RODI a must from the start IMO.

I remember going to the store to buy water. Looking back I now wonder how and why the hell I did it for so long.

Best money ever spent is my RODI....100 bucks....TDS.....Zero.
The water (and light if your doing corals) is the key to success.

I made about 3 trips a week to LFS to get rodi for almost 4-5 months. Bought a Vertex Puratek RODI unit from my LFS, and it’s by far the best investment I’ve made in my tank thus far

As everyone else has said, I don’t know why I waited so long lol

I was always concerned with the TDS of the saltwater that LFS sold you. That's a variable I''m not willing to leave to chance.

ATO is right up there with the rest of "Must Haves" it makes things so simple. Then when you get more involved in the hobby you'll want to automate your water changes too... then you'll look back and wonder why did I do all this manually???

Where does it all end???

I would be almost certain you did not get DI water from an LFS. Did you ever test it?

Lol of course I did. What makes you so certain that I never got ro/DI from my LFS? And yes, I tested, ONCE. That’s all the testing I ever needed for my LFS ro/DI

I got mine off amazon. 139 for a 6 stage. Just be sure to ask for a sink attachment if you go that route

Yes. 0 tds. I too am curious why you’re so sure about this? I have become great friends with my LFS owner, and trust in his practices. I’ve been behind the scenes, and even help out every once in a while when he needs it. (I work for corals) lol
