Make some change in the sump, I remove the chaeto tank. So right now only marinepure and skimmer in the sump.

I also add a small jebao pump in return section to stir up detritus

Same concept on my frag tank

I add some water level sensor in the return session to notify me if the pump turn off. Also if the sensor is trigger, skimmer, ato and fan will turn off.

What good of the thread without corals pictures right?! My tank just went through a major crash. Things are recovering in a very good rate, but nowhere near their “prime time”. Go easy with me this time!
Rrc Shazam

Ora Pearlberry

Rru Optimus prime

A piece I picked from MattV at Reef Farmer market, he doesn’t have name for it yet, but I trust his sense of beauty!

Cb Maleficent

Gonzo Cookie Monster

Thanks for the update, nice corals!
Why remove the cheato?
Does your ‘’near crash ‘’ was due to your failling return pump?

It was near. Then I had a real crash...

The reason is still unknown.

Looking forward to seeing what that cookie monster grows like. My azure frag hasn't started new growth yet. Someone told me they are basically the same with just slight color tone difference.

Everything seem getting back on track, the encrusted base leftovers when I moved colonies to other system also come back to life.

BkChem Wetdream

Oregon Tort gets back its vivid color.

Wwc OG Bounce

RMF Psycoberry also show sign of color and polyps. Still look pretty upset though. Hopefully I can save this one. Beautiful species.

RRU Carolina Reaper. Still look ugly, but it’s been amazing come back from super brown and skinny a couple week ago. I am happy with the process.

Another no name piece. Should be red and yellow. Let’s see.

Cb Golden Jawdropper

The French Wolverines. Turning green now instead of yellow. But polyps are fully out.

Let me see your frag buddy? Mine frag should be shooting branches right now if I didn’t have the crash. I barely save it from going to acro heaven!

What a joy to look at. Your acros just look so darn happy/healthy. Not just the polyp extension but the skin looks so healthy and radiant. By the way, beautiful rock work aquascaping.

One of the absolute highlights of this forum is viewing outstanding reefkeeping. I enjoy every update of yours. I made the trek some months ago to visit your 45 gallon tank and it was so spectacular. Another time, I would like to visit the 100 gallon. As spectacular as your photos are and they really are phenomenal, in person the acros are even more astonishing. Once again, thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Thank you very much Mark.
As always, your compliments mean a lot to me.
It am so sad that I lost your Z’s Yellow Eyed Jawdropper two months ago due to the tank crash. Beautiful acro!

I had cheato for 3 reasons: pods, nutrients control and boost pH at night. But when I set up my new frag tank (without chaeto) I notice that pH and nutrients stay the same. It means chaeto doesn’t help much. Plus, without chaeto and lighting for it, the sump run so much cleaner.
