Opinions on using contact paper to wrap a stand
Not the whole stand but just the panels that skin the metal stand. Might cost a little more than painting or staining but the almost endless designs will give it a unique and much more interesting look. I think the only issue is the tackiness of the adhesive but I can always roll a layer of glue to help it stay on better.
What do you guys think? |

Worth a try, but I would think with the moisture and humidity it would eventually peel. Kind of like how it happens if you put contact paper in a bathroom.

If it were me I would use a clear coat over it.

Done properly I could see something like a paper machete type thing could look cool and be different, w/ a a couple coats of clear over it.

I wouldn't use contact paper.. If you want to do that then get proper vinyl wrap material..

Contact paper would not withstand [inevitable] direct contact with SW, IMO
