53µ mesh question

Hi, All.

I'm looking for a mesh that is large enough to pass water through but rotifers and pods not. I saw that a 53µ mesh could work.

Is the µ in 53µ mean micron?

Then I could get a 50micron filter sock maybe?

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Joey
