If you need more - you should use our AWC DC pump sets(additional set for Kore 5th).
They have 250l/h water flow so you can use it even for few thousands gallons aquariums ;-)
Are the AWC DC pump sets available to order from your web site?

how can you use the AWC dc pump setup for accurate usage i.e precise exchange of volume?
the ATO dc pump is a regular impeller pump?

DC pumps used in AWC are speed adjustable and calibration/measurment process should be done after complete instalation for AWC is done.
In calibration procedure Kore 5th measure time needed for refill 1 liter of water and when its done - you can set how much of waste water you want pump out from system.
"Fresh" saltwater will be filled up to old water level measured by level sensors before AWC started.

AWC DC sets should be available within next few days together with last software update needed by this additional set.

Anybody have issues with the plug on the thermometer? It plugs in, but then there's like a 1-2mm expulsion of the plug. I had to sand down the end so it would stay plugged in, but it still wants to come unplugged.

If you noticed any problem with that Please contact with your supplier directly - they will send you new one. This was reported by few users and we decided replace faulty jack to 3.5mm only.

There is support forum:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=680
Your doser is connected to the same power extender with DC pump/lighting.
Now simply restart it(turn on/off from power supply) and connect to another plug - or use filtered power plug(power plug extender).

Regards

the ATO dc pump is a regular impeller pump?
Set is already released - within one week it should be available to order thru Resellers.
About your question:
It's very easy. Before you will start using AWC DC set you need calibrate for waste water DC pump. To do this you need 1000ml cup/bottle and you need follow calibration procedure(it should be done when al tubings are installed/cutted etc).
After calibration procedure doser know how much time it was needed to pump out 1 liter of "waste water".
This procedure is very accurate and after our tests we never saw difference higher than 4-5%(for DC pump it's very accurate result).
Fresh water pump will refill water until old level will be reached(previously set by optical or floating water level sensor).
Until AWC will finish his work ATO(aut top off) is disabled - to protect against not wanted freshwater(without salt) refill.
This module (together with compatible software/firmware) is actually released.
Any questions - please follow our sponsor thread on ReefCentral.

ATO DC pump is regular impeller DC pump(the same like AWC DC set pumps).
They are speed controlled by dosing station.

I think that it should be available in the USA since end of this month.
Additional great addition for Kore doser will be released within next few weeks - 5 channel magnetic stirrer(fit to actual acrylic holder so can be mounted to cabinet ceiling).

Just to clarify: with the additional DC pump AWC set, could you still use all five dosers plus perform automatic water changes at the same time?

Thanks!

Yes, exactly. You still have 5 dosing pumps with extra resolution(single drops dose).

You can get stepper motor that have a 1.8 degree step, not a 8 degree step as per your
Explanation on why you don't use steeper motors would these not improve accurasey compared to 8 degree example

@Apisto
Pre-orders for stirrers will run in first days of December! :-)

@poddy
can you give us any reason why we should use stepper motor? Do you think that 0.01ml accuracy is too small?
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/blog...dose-dispenser
You can see above that using 0.01ml single dose in 5 doses we are able built one drop of dispensed fluid. Why we should then use much more expensive(also in replace after warranty) step motors if we are able to program motors to work in single miliseconds?
We tested step motors before Kore 5th release and there wasnt any advantage to use them instead GOOD quality DC motors with adjustable speed(real adjust - not adding pause between steps).

Regards
Przemek

Nothing but bad things for me. I've been using the GHL doser (one) without issue but the 20% sale over Christmas made me want to give this a spin.

Some of the issues I've encountered

(1) Easily connected to my laptop, but difficult to connect to my desktop. So I started by doing all the setup via laptop. Once I had my desktop connected (trial and error, I don't understand why they can't have a LAN cable or USB cable for backup and rely solely on BT), I wasn't able to sync my desktop at all and kept getting error. Eventually had to wipe the memory from the doser and start over with the desktop

(2) This one's the killer.... Its not actually dosing anymore. I found out after 36 hours that the doser have stopped dosing. Everytime its suppose to be dosing time, some weird stuff will appear on the LCD and nothing will happen. No warning, nada. Then the LCD screen will go back to the normal cycle and be its happy self again. I've captured the screenshot of the 'weird stuff' and am waiting for a reply from Pacific Sun

(3) Pumps are VERY loud. Much louder than my GHL doser which is much older in terms of technology than the Kore 5th

(4) Dosing time can only be set automatically. You set the amount of liquid to dose per day and times per day and the software splits out the timing. You do not have control over anything. For example, on my GHL, I would dose KH a few times at night to stablize PH. Can't do it on the Kore 5th

(5) ATO pump failed on me today. When it was time to refill, all I heard was a constant clicking sound. The pump failed to fire. I kept on unplugging and replugging and finally it worked. No idea whats going on

Overall, I think the software is buggy and we're basically Pacific Sun's beta testers. IMO - stick with other brands for now until PS sort itself out

I have found it to be a great unit, it takes time to setup as the software has a lot of settings, which is a good thing but the learning curve is steep. for me the pumps are very quiet and has worked for months without fault.
