Spots on clam mantle
Hi guys,
Any info and advice for the spots shown on this clam's mantle? All parameters are good except for a bit of a cyano bloom as the tank is still relatively new. Thanks. |

i can't really tell from the picture, but nothing looks wildly out of sorts there?
what spots are you referring to? you said the tank is new, i assume the clam is new as well. has the clam had any changes recently, more spots showing up, or is there something i'm just not picking up correctly from the photograph?

Clam is new as well but seems to be doing fine. By spots I don't mean dots but rather some elongated marks you can see on the picture. The mantle is quite dark blue this marks have a much lighter color, almost look like a grain os rice...

from what i can see i would consider it just part of the color/pattern unless i see something compelling to the contrary.

That looks like pattern to me too. Nice Crocea. It will need all the light that you can get it.

Thanks guys, it seems to be doing quite well so far, I'll keep an eye anyway on the patterns.
