RKM-NET email and POP3/SMTP

OK - the good news. I was able to setup the NET model and have my webpage accessible from the outside world (wifi forwarded, DDNS and port forwarding all working).

Now the bad news. Try as I might I can't get thet email notification to work.

Here is config, please tell me what I'm doing wrong:

prereq : router port forwarded for 587

email notification:
From: Email Address : xxx@gmx.com
To: Email Address: xxx@yahoo.com

login information:
email authentication enable : yes
email username : xxx@gmx.com
email password: yyy

server information:
SMTP server : mail.gmx.com
email port 587

'TEST' -> error code 530

530 has todo with authentication. the NET module doesn't support TLS security and supposedly gmx doesn't require it.

Update : GMX requires TLS but juno doesn't.

NOTE juno 'popmail = Yes'; most free email accounts by default disable SMTP/POP3 to prevent accidental spamming

email notification:
From: Email Address : xxx@juno.com
To: Email Address: xxx@yahoo.com

login information:
email authentication enable : yes
email username : xxx@juno.com
email password: yyy

server information:
SMTP server : smtp.juno.com
email port 587

Test -> PASS!
