I'm sure lots of people are enjoying just looking at them, though not a whole lot of people are keeping them, and following after Naka may be a little intimidating for some as well, cause his is about as good as it gets for both mag and clowns!
Mags have become my favorite, I gotta get a better pic of mine, been more focused on my clowns lately as they just started spawning.

Me too, also I've only seen mags close up/retract like that in pics on google. Where it closes up so it shows the color of the foot but the tentacles still stick out the top. I think that's so cool looking. I've never seen mine do that anyways It literally looks so play dough haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Horrible pic but I can't get any good ones to load. The one on the left is "balling", lol.

here is mine, i hope and pray that by posting the picture will NOT jinx my precious anemone.
I dont know the origin of this anemone, perhaps Africa as it has red foot? but it is the great grand daughter of this anemone: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1455935 i bought it from a local reefer who obtained the daughter from Cindy many years ago. and this is the offspring of the offspring. |

I got a picture of my Magnifica and Gigantea that sitting right next to each other for ?1+ year. No problem.
I recently placed a Kalk reactor to the tank and my coralline algae just exploded. See the wall of the over flow from the first picture to the second one.

My two ritteri were next to each other for about a year and one began growing larger than the other. The larger one started to crowd the other one out causing it to ball up regularly. I debated moving it but ultimately did and both seem much happier.

The fish are smart. I have large tank and they have light come on gradual and turn off gradual. Only time I lost fish to the carpets is when I am working with the tank and scare the fish.
Have not lost them to the carpet for a few years. Same anemone one year apart in time. The Gigantea is the same too. Much healthier now. 3/2017 3/2018

I got it from this thread:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2307040 Orcus Varuna is the name of the person who put it up. Some of the links no longer work. I think this should still work: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...postcount=5031 If not I can try to dig up mine for you. |
