Chaeto hitchhiker
Got a handful of chaeto today to start my refugium. It came with all sorts of critters in it. Can anyone tell me what this is attached?? ( hopefully the picture works, I'm new on here)

Bristle worms great part of the clean up crew. Stars... depends which kind and what you have/want in your tank. Most are fine, there are a few that can cause problems.

Good to know, thanks. Looks like a brittle star from my limited knowledge/Google search.

Yep that is a micro brittle star. He should be fine. They can grow to a large population if they get well fed but most of the time they are no problem and are a good part of the clean up crew. Even if they get into large numbers they should not harm the tank.
