And i will take a sample of my water to my lfs, but I'm using the same brand of testing solutions they use. It'll be curious to see what they say.

I actually feed my turf back into my display tank ... no algae can grow there because of my turf scrubber

The pods that shake out of it create a cloud of food that my corals open up for

I used chemicals once and they eradicated my hair which created a plague of dinos instead. I prefer to let nature fix it.

If you want to get rid of this Algae this is what you need to do

I had the same problem but ten times worse and this is what I did! I only neglected my tank for just 3 months and you could not see the 100 pounds of rock b/c it was cover really really bad. It took me over 6 months but there is absolutely ZERO algae in my tank currently.

1. Cut back on your lights from 10 hrs to 8 hrs on my AI HYDRA 26 HD LED
2. Cut back on your feeding in half / I use Elso pellets now
3. Make sure your RODI Filters are changed regularly and your TDS is O Super Critical.
4. Buy some at least a half dozen Green Emerald Crabs, they work amazingly
5. I did a Ten-gallon water change every single week for 6 months.
6. I ran BRS High Capacity GFO in my dual reactor
7. Pick out as much as you can with your hand.
8. After week 4 you should notice a difference.

Good LUCK!!!

I had a similar issue...
I increased my snails, reduced the light and feeding plus checked there was no phosphate in the water I was doing the water changes with
