Less heat transfer & displacement. Cooling & tube lengths, short tubes are cooled faster, long tubes disperse heat more along the center of he tubes, maybe the in between length suffers from physical limitations because of the length? Its just my theory and I can't confirm it.

Yep^^^ grim did a experiment that concluded that the 36"t5 performed less effectively then the 24"and 48" version.

thanks so much for posting your observations! read through but didn't see posted (or probably overlooked). What were the dimensions of your tank with the par readings?

I have a 10 bulb powermodule over a 72 x 36 x 24"T tank now and while I haven't measured the par, it looks "dim" to me along the front and far back (i.e. doesn't fully cover the 36" width). I'm wondering if the 8 x 80 + 4 LED clusters is any bigger then the 10 x 80 powermodule. The shimmer and spectral maps look very promising.

Thanks in advance.

Didn't know there was a fan club. Got my fixture several weeks ago. Curious how others are doing as well. Subscribed

Absolutely stunning fixture. I switch from 3 Radion on 48x30wx24t. I have 8 bulb fixture, perfect. Overage for me. Very bright light, love it.

Do you need to connect it to a computer to use it? If so then I guess this light is out.

Amazing fixture!!!!! ATI has seriously been over most of my tanks. Can't get away from them. When I do I miss them.

Are there optics on the led's? If so what angle?

Its 8x39W T5, 2x75W LED. As far as optics I did not checked yet if those are optics or reflectors. I just opened it to take few pictures and put it back. My tank is not ready yet, it will be few weeks before I can set it up.

I've had my 36" 8 bulb for a few weeks now and loving it! Pics to follow. It's over a 36x24x24 rimless.

Not really optics. It's actually these tiny reflective tubes that the LEDs sit inside.

Ok thanks. I'm guessing the spread on the LEDs is good then?

Hello and congratz to all owner of our new Hybrid-Powermodul,

I just want to jump in here to give you some informations. We use special silver coated reflectormaterial with an efficiency of 98%. The Reflectionrate of 98% differs silver reflectors from other optics like aluminium reflectors or lenses which have an efficiency of around 80-90%. The spread of these tiny reflectors is about 80°. Together with T5 we achieve a uniform Light Distribution at a wide area below the pendant.

By the way. We will have some videos in the near future that shows how to use our software. In the meantime I wish you all the best.

regards
Oliver Pritzel

Oliver, thanks for jumping in. Always been a huge fan of your lights and looking at replacing my 10 x 80 powermodule. If you have a sec, can you comment on the ability to cover a 36" wide tank for the largest fixtures?

Do they have to be connected to a computer to use them?

I don't think you do bro. I can't recall my buddy hooking his up to anything before firing his up.
