Chiller Differential

Hello all.

Quick question here.

I understand the chiller differential which mine is set to two degrees.

My concern and question is doesn't a two degree swing seem like quite a bit?

I can see that level in 8,12 or 24 hours but a two degree swing in less then an hour or less seems like quite a bit to me.

Can anyone comment if their SPS has been stressed by this or if this an ok temp fluctuation.

Thanks!

Hey Vinny.

I did.

Still not what I need.

I am looking at talking to a metal shop here near me and just having a couple fabricated if possible.

I would not go beyond 2 degrees Delta. Although you can move the center point up more gradually in the summer and back to normal in the winter. This simulates that natural changes in the tropical oceans as they change with the seasons. You can consult NOAA's website for monthly sea temps in the Pacific islands and use those as a guide.
