Do you need to refrigerate all the RO/DI cartridges for storage, of just TFC?

My system has the TFC membrane, plus three chambers with a "Carbon Block" cartridge, a Micron filter, and a GAC Cartridge.

I've heard the TFC needs to be kept moist at all times and refrigerated for storage.

My question is:

1.) Do the three cartridges also need to be kept moist at all times? (I think there may be algae growing on the Carbon block cartridge but it's hard to tell...)

2.) Do the three cartridges need to be refrigerated?

3.) What's the difference between the Carbon Block and the GAC Cartridge?

Wow, I've heard that the membrane is supposed to stay moist, but I've never heard anyone mention that it needs to be refrigerated. This sounds a lot like the myth of storing batteries in the fridge. Tagging along to see other responses.

How long are you planning to store it without using it?

Tank info: 120 gallon 48x30x20 high DT. Clownfish breeding rack in full swing: C-Quest Onyx, Bali Aquarich P1 Picasso + Rod's Onyx, wild percula + Rod's Onyx.

Late response, but even about the moistness - is it just the TFC that needs to stay moist or all the cartridges?

If it's hard plumbed, then the water retained in the unit will keep everything moist.
