Kessil 360X

Just bought the Kessil 360X to replace the Maxspect razor I had to send back for repairs ( third time).. Kessil lites are nice but the online user manual for the controller is “limited” somewhat.. does anyone have any advice, hints ect on using this controller? Just got it yesterday so I may be a bit impatient but ...thanks

I have yet to play with the 360X but I do have plenty of experience 360WEs and an AP700. I have not however played with their new controller. What do you have in your tank as far as corals go? Personally, I would aim for a 12 hour light cycle with about 4 hours ramp up, 4 hours ramp down. I peak to start at about 65%. Aim for a more blue spectrum. If you have the ability to control the red channel, have that peak at about 10% max. UV if you can control it, have that peak at about 20-30%. I wish I had some hands on experience with that combo to give you more feedback. These lights and the controller are really new so I am not sure how many people here are actually using them.

I just got two, with the new controller. i have installed them over what will be a 6' by 2.5' by 2.5' rimless tank from Miracles in Toronto. This will be african cichlid mbumas. I want a bright, shimmering light. I also want to grow algae on the rocks - going with 400+ lbs of rock - because that i what they eat, much like Tangs. I chose the Tuna Blue over Tuna Sun because many Mbuma tanks are above 10K, and I liked the A360X for its violet, red and green, which may give me more choices if desired, but no lower spectrum, as Kessil tells me they will be overpowered by the other higher K lights and not bring the spectrum below 10K. Finally, the A360X has a more gradual dimming, down to 0%, more like my Mitras that I am running on my reef and freshwater planted tank, in the later case 7006s. I like Kessils - I run an A160 over my 20g quarantine tank and an H380 grow lamp over my fuge.
