I just had to remove all my fish from my 330 due to ich. I do not have a ton of corals yet so removing some of the rock is what I did.

What kind of trap did you use?

BTW I have never had trouble with flame angels being reef safe.

That is a very clean and well layed out system. It's great seeing a mixed reef look so sweet. The contemporary looking stand flows right with the rest of the room. What did you skin it with? How do you like the skimmer?
Regards,
Doug

I used just simple net. After I put plastic bags between the rocks all fish swam out. It was no problem to catch them.
Flame angel is nearly harmless. That's why I left her in the tank.

Thanks for sharing this awsome build. I'm planning an upgrade and was going to do something very similar so it's been great for me to see how you've done it.

Can you describe what you used to skin the outside for your stand. The gloss white look is great. Did you build it or have it built and installed ?
Do you have pics during that stage of the build when you were installing the stand skins and doors?

Thanks. I don't dose much. I use mostly Tropic Marin products which inludes: Bio-Calcium, Bio-Magnesium, Bio-Strontium, Pro-Coral K+ and A- Elements. I stopped dosing bacteria to the water.

To be honest I'm not sure. I changed many things at one time. I set up a refugium, new salt, heavy water changes, new light sources. Unfortunately dino is back. Now I'm thinking about using Ultra AglaeX from Fauna Marin.

The furniture was made by my friend who is carpenter. It is mdf painted with ICA laquer. I have only "before" and "after" pics.

You can't compare these two skimmers. Red pipes rule the skimmers world

Hope this thread is still active... How do you manage zero algae on the rocks? I've tried everything phosphates 0.026 nitrate 2. Have just started dosing kalkwasser to raise ca (400) and kh (8)

My rocks look like suede.

Any help would be appreciated

Your tank is wonderful. Thanks for sharing with us and giving me some ideas on my tank build that I'm doing now.
