Looks like a fairly healthy Magnifica. How long have you had it before this started?

Mine will do that every 24-36 hours when my water quality is shot. Not necessarily nitrates or anything either. Like I am just coming to the conclusion that it does it when I feed cheap nori to my tangs. A big water change and running carbon is my personal suggestion, but knowing your current parameters would be very helpful, as this species is very sensitive.

I don’t know what they currently are, I think it could be a level of something but also all my anemones are pooping right now so I guess I’ll have to do a small water change

So I have 28 Nems in a tank. They are constantly shape shifting and at first it freaked me out as well. The nights that I feed them they def do that but just dont worry about it until they starting staying like that for more than a day or two. You will also notice that if they do stay like that, a few days later they will start opening their mouths wide open. This is when you really have an issue. I have tried to baby many back to health but i have had 0 success. If they do die in your tank, they will fall apart and poison your tank and the water will stink. Do immediate big water change and try getting it out with a net because it falls to pieces when touched. I wont risk my tank for one Nem so I just toss it.
