NYOS Quantium 220 Owners?
I wanted to know if you like your Nyos Quantium 220? Would you buy it again now that you have owned it? Why or Why not?

Hi I have had mine for about 9 months, no i would not buy it again. I have gone through three impellers shafts and in each time the needle head gives way from the impeller shaft, one of those occasions was due to a blockage and the other two i think due to overheating. whenever you take it out to be cleaned or any other maintenance you then need to spend time sometimes days retuning the unit. The other problem I have is that there are newer skimmers with dc controlled pumps that are easier to adjust. Just my take on it.

Ive had a 220 and a 300 running for quite a while - no serious issues.
220 has been running for 5 or 6 years now. 300 has been running for 2 or 3 years now. only one minor issue - the 220 had the lid locked once or twice. I dont know what causes this to happen but the lid is very difficult to unscrew. If they were ever to fail or break - yes - I'd buy from NYOS again.

My new Nyos 220 has been running for about 10 days. It is producing a huge amount of micro bubbles that are exiting at the base of the water control tube. Is my adjustment wrong? Does anyone have pics of theirs running so I can see your water levels? Or will this clear in 4-8 weeks after a biofilm forms?
