Im20

So i have an IM25/50 lagoons, last Sept my picasso clowns laid eggs, and i managed to get 7 survivors. They've been in a 10 gal with HOB filter. While it works its unsightly. So I've just started an IM20 for them. I have one baby that is unique, has only the first white stripe, and I lil white spot on his dorsal fin. So I'm going to be keeping him.
For now the tank is stock, I added intank media rack and floss holder, will be upgrading to Sicce 1.0. Going to try out the aqua illumination, light and nero 5. Next weekend will be getting Dr. Tim's all in one and ARC reef coraline algae. I'm going to do a 3-4 month cycle.

I see lot of potential for zoa tank. Great scape for it too!

Let us keep updated.

Do you really want to do 3 months cycle tho?

For me I just couldn't watch my empty tank anymore! So I rushed my tank with infinite dosing of bacterial supplement. With fish at 3 week mark. I have 0 algae issue so far. ( I have good back up filteration system)

Getting them from eggs to fish was expensive.

The babies are in a 10 gal with HOB aquaclear filter. They're fine in there for the future. Will be at least a 2 month cycle. I started an IM50 last Oct, cycled the rock a month then, 2 months in tank. Have had little to no algae issues.

He is my fav, a busy wanted him, but I can't part with him. He is still so tiny, and he hides under his rock overhang.

Are you planning to use a skimmer? I'm just starting an IM 20 and considered it but decided against.

I have the IM 25 Lagoon and I'm not currently using a skimmer. I did buy the ghost skimmer (actually it came in a bundle) but every time I try to break it in, it just puts out WAYYYYYYYYYY too many micro bubbles and I cant stand it so I turn it off. I just do a weekly water change of like 3 gallons.

I ran a skimmer in my last nano, trying to do my IM 20 skimmerless. Working great so far, but as I add stock we will see.

Im20

So far I haven't ran a skimmer on any of my tanks, IM25, IM50. Ammonia and nitrites zeroed out yesterday, doing a stress test today. Will see if ammonia/nitrates zero in 24 hours.

So it's been a long time, summer was busy, and a blur honestly. Tank is still empty has been cycled and stress tested, multiple times, and a few drop of ammonia every couple days so the bacteria doesn't starve. Nitrate are currently at 4ppm. Going to move the Misbar this weekend and the other 3 babies next weekend. The misbar just hides in the tank and the other 3 are in the back corner. So i'm hoping that if he has the tank to himself he wont hide all the time. Time will tell i suppose.
AI Prime and Nero 5. running the AB+ from BRS. Pic to follow!
