Acquired a few more colors of shrooms
And tomorrow I take the top off the tank, bring in a painter's ladder (a tall tank is pretty, but oh, the maintenance headaches. 36" deep)---and go down to the basement sump to collect the new shrooms, which I let relax in a bare spot in the sump, also the penalty box for the giant snails which wreaked so much havoc on the first round. I'll also haul out the giant tweezers that are designed for freshwater plant maintenance and hope they have the grip to hold the small rocks to which the shrooms attach. I've discovered one rule: if it's red, and it's a shroom, it wants to be in the shadows. Also if it's spotted red. Purple discosoma, heck, the more light the happier: the stuff is pumping up huge every morning, and one ricordea has made a move to an adjacent rock, anchoring THAT piece where I want it. Its move has revealed a third ricordea, I think, squeezed between the two on that rock.
