what will happen in this scenario

So I bought a zoa frag.. The dam thing fell as I was trying to place it
and the water flow pushed it all the way down and into a crevice where it cant
even be seen nor can I get to it unless I move all my base LR around..

I am sure this will cause it to die off.. its been like a week down there.

what should I do or look out for? Is it worth me digging for it to see if its ok?
will my tank water quality get all out of whack?

If you have an extra powerhead lying around you could use this to flush out the polyp.

They may spread eventually, or it may die off. I have lost a handful of frags over the years to this or an urchin knocks it off...it stinks that it happens but it happens

Not if your careful.. I've done this many times to flush out corals, dead fish etc without any problems. Even if you do stir up the sand a little this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Your call.
