I think we are talking about two different corals, what picture is it in?

Here are the bulbs I am running in each fixture

10k (white/yellow)
blue + (blue)
pro color (pink)
super actinic (purple/blue)
aqua blue (white/blue)
blue+ (blue)

The first pic on page 4. You have alot of blue in your light setup. The 2X10 K can handle all the white lighting?

Congrats - Thats a beautiful coral. Sorry to ask all these questions, I am planning an aquarium ranging from 170-125 long and need to know about the lighting. My area gets up to 110 in the summer so my only option is running T5. How do you like the octo dual reactor? I see its very fairly priced.

The first pic on page 4 is a Montipora Undata. The Pro Color light has a pink hue to it but it's PAR levels are similar to a 10k bulb. Some people may prefer to run less "blue" bulbs and shoot for higher PAR numbers with "white" bulbs, but I like the colors my corals have under this combination and I am still getting decent growth.

No problem, that's what these threads are for. The build quality of the Octopus reactor is very good and you can't beat the price, the only thing I don't like about it is the pump, I have had 2 and they both ran very hot, the water in the first chamber of the reactor feels like bath water, they are also kind of loud. But I would recomend them for the price they are being sold at right now, if they went up in price I would go with another brand that uses a better pump.

Thanks Jrpdriver. Can you tell what brand the bulbs are? so I can get an idea what I am picking? I assume you are running Current Pro Nova's.

Thank you, I wish I could tell you that I had all sorts of great plans but I'm cut twice, measure afterwards kind of guy. But I got a lot of great ideas in my head from reading threads here on RC before I put it together. I put a lot of union valves in the plumbing because I change my mind a lot and like to tinker with stuff, I've been adding and swapping stuff around since it has been set-up. I am in Corona, if your ever going to be in the area let me know.

I perform weekly water changes to replenish trace elements, I dose magnesium a couple times a week, and kalk is added via my ATO system

do you find that you get improved color by dosing mag?

To be honest, the colors in my tank have become more vibrant over time, but I don't know if it is a direct result of the magnesium or not.
