Dose phyto from ATO?
I was curious if anyone has ever explored growing a freshwater species of phyto that is tolerant of salinity in their RODI ATO reservoir (perhaps a nanochloropsis species?)
I was thinking that by tuning the lighting vs. ATO rate one might be able to generate a continuous phytoplankton delivery system. |

Have you cultivated phyto before? It requires fertilizers (I assume Phosphates/Nitrates) to grow, so not sure you want those pollutants going into your tank on a frequent basis.
Personally, I used to dose my own-made phyto to my corals and clam. But, I found Reef Roids to be less hassle free, cheaper and easier. |
