Highest natural pH (no additives)
I set up a reef tank outside with ridiculous aeration...
I used RC salt (6 bags) and 300 gals of RODI. I'm reading 8.45 post-cal... I wouldn't expect it to be that high so I suspect the cal fluids. I put the probe in the cal solutions and got 7 and 10. Would fresh air (large surface + heavy air injection) drive so much CO2 out to drive the pH that high?

I think that's a reasonable level for a high aeration tank. It's a bit higher than I'd expect, but RC tends to come with a fairly high dKH. That might account for the extra 0.5 units or so.

Ok. I'll measure the other 3 soon. It's slowly coming down to 8.37 after 48 hours
